Kingston Design Connection Showhouse, 2022

We were thrilled to participate in the 5th annual showhouse for the Kingston Design Connection. Every year, the organization builds community through design by partnering with town of Kingston to refurbish homes for the community.

In designing the bathroom, we realized that it is the last place you have for yourself, the last place you can get away from the cacophony of daily life. To that end, we designed and installed a working smart steam shower. We try to design bathrooms that only need to be designed once; to that end, we wanted to design a spa experience perfect for aging in place and timeless in its aesthetics.

Turning a dry room into a wet room in a showhouse timeline was no small feat. I am grateful for the partnership of my craftspeople, the sponsors, and local businesses to bent gravity to turn my vision into a reality.
