Michael was able to spend some time with Joan McDonald from Inside Out Upstate to discuss the inspiration and details for his bathroom design in the 2022 Kingston Design Showhouse. After all, the bathroom is really the last place anyone has to themselves anymore.

Upstate New York’s culture magazine, Chronogram, ran a detailed review of the Kingston Design Connection’s 2022 Showhouse, noting the modern sensibilities of Michael Gilbride Design’s bathroom. Since Victorian era homes were not known for their bathrooms, it was a great opportunity to design a space fit for today’s needs while referencing overtones of the design trends of the era.
